British Garden Centres has today announced the acquisition of the Dobbies Havant Garden Centre, located on Bartons Road.
The acquisition of this site will see British Garden Centres, the UK's largest family-run garden centre group, expand its portfolio to 70 stores.
The Havant centre will be closed temporarily with the view to reopening in early March. British Garden Centres will be retaining the existing centre team and look forward to working with them to ensure the continued success of the Havant site and the local community it serves.
British Garden Centres will look to recruit an additional 22 roles across the garden centres and restaurant team. This is to support the expected growth of the site. The job vacancies will be posted on the British Garden Centres website (www.britishgardencentres.com/careers).
For other updates on the centre and opening please keep an eye on the Havant Garden Centre Facebook and Instagram pages.
Charles Stubbs, Founder and Director of British Garden Centres said: “We are thrilled that Havant Garden Centre is joining the British Garden Centres family. This acquisition will save the site and secure jobs for many local people. Our priority for the next few weeks is to work with the passionate team to ensure a smooth transition and swift reopening for the local community. “
